CONSIDER WRITING TO THE SELLER TO CLOSE THE DEAL

Posted OnDec 20, 2013

Dear letter to seller

There are multiple offers on the table and you want this home. You have lost a few others and were left out in the cold due to over bids or no contingencies and you love this house… you NEED this house.

Separate yourself from the others and tell the seller why you want to live in their house. No, you can’t sit down for coffee with them at this stage however you can write them a letter that can be presented with your offer along with many others. Let your offer shine and standout amongst the others as being different and personal.

Sellers want to know that all their hard work to lovingly care for their home and cherished memories that were created within their walls will go to someone who wants to create new memories just like they did. Create an image with your words of your family sitting around the fireplace or that your little girl loved the bathroom with little pink roses in the tiles. For that matter send photos of your kids and the dog and if no kids are in the picture, send of yourself.

Home buying is an extremely emotional experience for both the buyer and seller so your letter should appeal to the emotions of the seller. Most sellers want people they like to move into their home. Appealing to the sellers in a personal letter of your hopes and dreams goes a long way.

Be sincere, express your inner feelings and let your persona come through and show the seller who you really are. The only thing you have to lose is your dream home so pick up that pen and let loose with all the oomph you have. You may even have fun doing it!
